Is there a design alive as indulgent as the contemporary chaise lounge?
An island of tranquility, just for one, we’ve scoured the globe and found no style so luxurious.
The quintessential example is the 4 Chaise Lounge by Cassina — originally designed in 1928 by design’s most imaginative trio;
Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier & Pierre Jeanerret.
Its silhouette is dictated by the contours of the human body at rest, a beautiful example of what the trio called “form follows function” and a supremely cosy spot for many an afternoon snooze. Immediately recognisable by its tubular steel frame, it can be inclined in a variety of angles, in order to find your own particular definition of comfort.
