Produced for the Chandigarh project in India.
Le Corbusier was in charge and the project which included all the furniture for the administrative buildings and housing.
Le Corbusier chose Pierre Jeanneret his cousin and life long collaborator to help.
These chairs would have mainly been used in the classrooms and lecture halls.
