1960s rare library desk.
Teak construction with great patina.
Produced for the Chandigarh project in India.
Le Corbusier was in charge and the project which included all the furniture for the administrative buildings and housing.
Le Corbusier chose Pierre Jeanneret his cousin and life long collaborator to help.
This desk would have been used in the main library with the library chairs.
Incredible attention to detail.
Stencil detailing on rear of desk still.
Great size and perfect for small apartments.
